Everything and Nothing is Shane Allessio's 4th studio album, recorded in Methuen, MA on July 20th and August 23rd, 2021. Notes about the songs:

-Shoulder Sauce is a funky groove that was written a decade ago and has finally been given its own melody.

-Canon is just that, a canon. Saxophone starts the melody and guitar plays the same melody 8 bars later.

-Henniker Blues is the story of being quarantined in Henniker, NH.

-Willow is a tribute to Shane's 4-year-old daughter who tends to run everywhere she goes, and that's the mood of the piece.

-Bachianas Brasileiras was written by Heitor Villa-Lobos originally for 12 cellos and voice. In this arrangement the voice part is played by the bass, the 12 cellos are condensed to a guitar, and a light drum groove is added.

-Pitter Panther Patter is a classic 1939 tune composed by Duke Ellington for a duet with famed bassist Jimmy Blanton. In this arrangement the piano part is played by guitar.

-J.S. is a tribute to renowned bassist and educator Jim Stinnett. Jim passed away in 2021, but his legacy will live on for a very long time.

-B.H.U. was written in during Shane's stint in a behavioral health unit in Nashua, NH.

-Everything and Nothing was written about Shane's medically supervised ketamine treatments.
